Amuse Creative Studio has unveiled a key visual and a delayed 2027 debut for the television anime adaptation of the webtoon series ELECEED. Originally slated for a 2026 release, the anime will be helmed by DandeLion Animation Studio and directed by Hiroshi Nishikiori. Nishikiori is known for his work on IDOLiSH7 the Movie LIVE 4bit BEYOND THE PERiOD and Honey Lemon Soda. Yousuke Kuroda, who has written for My Hero Academia, will oversee the series' scripts, while Minami Sakura, who has worked on Gridman Universe, will serve as the character designer. The story of the series follows Jiwoo, a kind-hearted young man with lightning-quick reflexes, and Kayden, a secret agent who finds himself stuck in the body of a fluffy cat. Together, they fight against evil forces, using Jiwoo's superpowers and Kayden's intelligence. Since its debut in 2018, ELECEED has been serialized in over 10 languages and has consistently topped battle-action charts in North America, Asia, and Europe. The series has surpassed 1.42 billion views globally. This delay in the anime's release is a notable development, and it will be interesting to see how the production team addresses the delay and ensures a high-quality product for fans.
